Terms of Service
Last updated: July 24, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Beacon, a weekly Google Business Profile audit and dashboard product. By creating an account or using Beacon, you agree to these Terms.
The service
Beacon connects to your Google Business Profile (with your explicit consent via Google OAuth) and runs a deterministic weekly audit of hard data — photo count, review activity, response rate, hours accuracy, and similar profile signals — emailing you a report and showing your history on a dashboard. Depending on your plan, Beacon may also draft review responses and Google Post copy for your review; nothing is posted to your profile without your explicit approval.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to act on behalf of the business whose Google Business Profile you connect to use Beacon. Beacon is intended for businesses located in the United States. If you access or use Beacon from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for complying with local laws that may apply to you.
Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating your account and are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.
Subscriptions & billing
Beacon is billed on a recurring monthly subscription via Stripe. You can change or cancel your plan at any time from your Settings page. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period; downgrades that reduce your bill are scheduled for the same time. We don't offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by law.
No ranking guarantees
Beacon shows you real, controllable factors that influence how your profile performs, based on best practices and your own data. We do not guarantee any specific ranking position, review count, or lead volume — anyone who promises a guaranteed #1 spot on Google Maps is guessing, and Beacon won't do that.
Your Google account connection
By connecting your Google Business Profile, you authorize Beacon to access the data described in our Privacy Policy for the purpose of generating your audits and (where applicable) drafting posts or replies for your approval. You can revoke this access at any time from Google's account permissions page or from Beacon's Settings page.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Beacon to access or attempt to access any Google Business Profile you are not authorized to manage, to resell or redistribute data obtained through Beacon, or to interfere with or disrupt the service.
Disclaimer & limitation of liability
Beacon is provided "as is." We work to keep audit data accurate and the service available, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access or that every recommendation will improve your results. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Beacon isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Intellectual property
Beacon and its software, design, and content are owned by us. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Beacon for your own business while your subscription is active. Your own business data — your Google Business Profile data and anything you enter into Beacon — remains yours.
Termination
You may stop using Beacon and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or misuse connected Google account access.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Beacon evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Beacon regarding the service. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in full effect.
